Infographic sharks

As a personal side project I’m currently working on an infographic about sharks, specifically about their decline and need for preservation. I am currently finishing up the research required and will soon start sketching the first images and storyboard. The infographic will be entirely animated with After Effects. For the images I’ll probably use Illustrator and Photoshop.

I’ve sorted my information, and made a script with what I wish to say and in what order. I have visualised some of the information to make sense out of it. Here’s a graph I’ve made of the decline in shark populations. I have a full script, storyboard and a nice voice over. The voice over has been edited and cut into pieces. Now I can really start!

These storyboard images are taken with a camera phone. Once I get a chance to scan the sketches in properly I will update with better quality images.

Lamp scene in 3D

This project has been temporarily put on hold.

For my new project I’m going to make a short animated scene in 3DS-Max. I won’t give any details on the contents yet, those will be revealed as I progress. It will contain a lot of new techniques for me, so the progress might be a bit slow. First success: a lamp that actually shines! I’m quite pleased with getting to actually shine ├índ to be able to see the beam itself.
